200 Feet Radial Road Chennai 2026 Update

200 Feet Radial Road Chennai is also called the Pallavaram–Thoraipakkam Radial Road and SH-109. The wider road corridor is about 14.3 km long. It starts at GST Road in Pallavaram and ends at OMR in Thoraipakkam. The road links Chennai Airport, Pallavaram railway station, GST Road and the OMR IT belt. In 2026, the main road is open and busy. Yet some service lanes, parking controls and drains still need work.
The 2026 update shows both growth and clear road issues. Chennai Metro Phase II work is moving ahead near the OMR end. Thoraipakkam and nearby Corridor 3 stations are under development. However, parked cabs and unfinished service lanes still slow some parts of the road. Pallavaram Periya Eri also remains affected by sewage, waste, weeds and encroachments. These issues matter because the road now serves IT parks, homes, hospitals, colleges and airport traffic.
